Prof. Moazzam N Tarar

Prof. Moazzam N Tarar graduated from King Edward Medical College, Lahore Pakistan in 1985 and completed plastic surgery training in the U.K. He returned to Pakistan in 1995 and established the largest Burn & Plastic Surgery facility namely Jinnah Burn & Reconstructive Surgery Centre, Lahore as its founding Executive Director. He introduced sub-specialty concept in plastic surgery at the Centre where he managed to train more than 75 trainees from Pakistan and neighboring countries. He has been running “Reconstructive Microsurgery” and “Burn Management Courses” annually in collaboration with international faculty.
He was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz, one of the highest civil honors by the President of Pakistan in 2015, for his meritorious public services. He is the past President of Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgeons (PAPS) and Pakistan Burn Association and the National Secretary of International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He is currently dean of Plastic Surgery at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) , the college awarded him Honorary fellowship in 2010.
Professor Tarar has more than 100 scientific publications to his credit and has contributing author to many surgical books and atlases including Oxford Textbook of Plastic Surgery . He had been invited as faculty and key note speaker at advanced courses and scientific meetings of many international societies. He was the McIndoe lecturer at the BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgeons ) congress in December 2022.
